Someone invite their dad to this thread? Maybe we need to set up a 10 post timeout rule.

I was just thinking the same as I was browsing. Yes I did, and I didn't see any thing but frieghters in the lake (Huron) no formulas no fountains no bayliners no searays. Oh I did see 1 checkmate but he only went out about a mile and turned tail hugging the shoreline and went back toward the river.

Yesterday was great about 1 foot chop. today on the return was a totally different story. Took a nice long shower at Lexington followed by about 50 more short ones coming back, you got to love 4-6s.

Oh and to rub it in a little more. My wife has taken apart more engines than you guys have even thought about (you figure out who you are). Her list includes 2007 Cadilac CTS 3.6L direct inject (DI), BMW 3.0L dual turbo DI, Audi 3.2L DI, 2006 Nissan 4.0L, Honda 1.8L, Ford 3.5L, Hyundai 3.3L, Toyota 3.5L. I could have inclded transmissions as well. And the list goes on, don't make me go back into the archives. OK so she only took out the bolts I told her too, but she did take them apart.

By the way I love my job, take new chit apart and don't have to put it back together again. well most of the time.:evilb:

I may not have been as fast as you there AXA but I did hit 67 GPS with a stock bravo 1 26P today. you got to love a good tail wind and a typical 6-7mph current. Should have had the labbed prop on dang it.

Like all season? Right?

We did stop in this afternoon on the way home from Sams moms and thought about taking a little rip, John and Theresa said you were off playing with a couple of those sea fleas. So we bs'd for a bit and came home. Did stop in at Sutters in Canadagua today and checked out a few Fountains. Was offered an "investment" opportunity that might be interesting. Also got to give the new 33 Lightning a once over. Cool boat, just need to dump the 496s and get some real motors in it and it could be a super little hot rod.

My thoughts as well 5P. Isn't this nice, agreeing on things and all that. Sort of gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling doesn't it. :D

Wish Kitty a Belated Happy B'day for Sam and I.

The Shelby may be a Ford but they have done the best job with the new wave retro perf cars. Dealmaker Ford in Odgensburg has a silver and black Roush 427R that we drool over every weekend on the way to the Bay.

Those Roush 427s are sweet there's a few of them around our area. But don't get it confused thinking it has a 427 engine. They beef up the 4.7L (I think it is) and tweek it to 427hp via add on parts. I would think all of you gear heads here could do somthing along the same lines or better for a lot less than the cost of the Roush 427 and probably blow it away on the strip.

Whats a Stroke? You Idget!

We were there for a supprise anniversary dinner for Samanthas parents, went from here to the resturant, then to her moms overnight, then back here in hopes of the afternoon on the boat. Called Axa on the way back and he said it was chit in the Bay so we exited to the outlet mall for some shopping fun.

Did I forget the side trip to Sutters, had I thought you would be into a Fountain lookin' adventure I would have called. But be honest here, they would have been too small, over priced for the length considering the beak and all, certainly not Formula quality, Bla Bla Bla, .......would have just ruined my self indulgent advertising induced moment. :(

And I ask you, what kind of "Nirvana" would that be?

!!! Better to just save all the touchy feely chit for this thread, or drunken moments when we surely will not remember it the next day.

Well unless someone has pics. But then we can come up with our own set of facts relating to how the deal actually went down thereby skewing the entire event to our favor.

ie: ................. I was not lap dancing Samantha as some of you have claimed!

The truth here is that she had a bug in her eye and I was removing it for her. She was in need of some help and I was not about to trust any of you drunken fools to attempt it.

Had you been paying attention as opposed to playing with your camera you would know the following is the real deal here.

ie:.............That shot is definetly after the bug removal, you are seeing her overwhelming expression of gratitude to me for not letting any of you drunken fools near her.

Pay attention will ya, nothing worse than having a drunken "Photo Guy" with no recall ability.

ie:................I was so upset that I had taken a boat load of people out in the Biotch and kicked Axa butt in their presence. My bad................................soooooooooooooo oooo bad.

ie:..............Shoes? That was just helping Sandy. She was concerned with the stability factor of her $3.00 new shoes and I was conducting some tests under the guidance and watchfull eye of our resident rocket scientist 5PM. It was all caluclated out and conducted to government spec standards. The results and pics are classified............. Sorry!:p

However a pair of these stabilized shoes might prevent unexpected dunkings in the swill pit. My testing on the dock proved them to be worth all of the $3.00 purchase price. I'll have Sandy call you with the where to buy info.

There may be A$$ Lickers here, but I ain't one of them. Call it as I see it, F'em if they don't like it. I've never found "Manover Hind Licking" to be worthwile. A wise old Proctologist once said "If it looks like one, acts like one, and smells like one, likely it is one".

Next chapter................ The Biotch is out of the water and likely done for the season. Went to HBW today and had Bob pull it out for a final cleaning then Steve and I drained it down and put the anti-freeze to the engines. Did take a final rip down to Iornside and back, came back into the speed zone a little hot, just hated to back it down and call it quits.:D

Winterizing these closed cooling 525s is a breeze, gotta love all this new high tech chit.

Hey there fair weather friend - throw on some leathers and keep on runnin. tell Sam - Cheryl said hi. see you next year when its 70 oops I mean 80. by the way we had close o the 80's today - sat it's going to be in the mid 70's this weekend.

Hot Stepper still in the water

ThirdBird 09-26-2008 05:57 AM

The Bird is in the barn. Just took it over last night. All styled, dialed, and ready for a long sleep. Just hate the fact that they at the storage facility will be moving it around as they fit others in. Really bothers me when someone else is maneuvering my rig around in tight quarters. But, 10 bucks a foot in nice barns with concrete floors and no critters is a pretty good deal.

Although it's sad that the summer is gone (where the heck did it go?) it feels good to have the boat totally done and clean and away so I can think about other things.

Just went out last weekend and dialed in the .270 and the 30-06. The Browning '06 Auto laid in 4 shots at 100 yds at just a tad over 1" group - with factory ammo!!!! That's pretty damn good!! I'm ready to snipe a big buck. Gotta dial in the freakin' muzzle loader now. Thing shoots like crap. Just got a scope for it, maybe that will help. Not impressed with that smoke pole.

Any other hunters/shooters out there?

Yup you can count me in on that group. Got a cheap old 06 for the UP (Upper Peninsula for you non michiganders) – have a 20 acre hunting camp up there awesome hunting. Stuck with a 12 gauge around my neck of the woods.

So 2 down for the season  I guess they just don't make boaters like they use too:drink:

Day trip planned for Sat :p

Never did see any results of the testing posted, 90+ was to be the number they needed to hit in order to be in the game out there. Maybe Cooter can keep it in one piece so they can put a finish on the books before the season wraps up.

We could start a pool. :D
