Second...Does the picture matter? Well you claim you have the picture of your last time out "Super Bird" run that put away anything I have to show to date, so just put it up. If you're proud of it show it.

What two instances?

Time to dial it in, yup. How am I supposed to know where the he!! that deal ended up when mine was out and long gone by the time you got wherever it is that you finally got to on that last run?

Never all summer did I push or make issue of where you were at. We had the conversation on the dock as to whether or not we would do the run for all the wannabees, I told you it was your call, that I really did not give a chit. You know exactly what I'm talking about here! Again I made no issue and did not push the deal.

Last... I'm happy with the Biotch. I bought the Fountain because I wanted it. Formula builds a fine boat............ But I will never own one, I do not like the way they feel and handle at speed. I prefer the styling of the Fountain as well, but that's my opinion and I'm entitled since I wrote the check. All things considered, the overall handling aspects of the boat are more important to me than a few cabin features. I bought it to drive it, not try to make it take the place of all those Sea Rays that Mark so generously allowed me to use when I was without a boat.

In conclusion... If you ran a big number................ Good for you! If you want me to believe it then post it! Other wise next year will bring what it brings. You need to remember it was all your Flocker buddys that pushed for the big showdown, not me!!!

Done Deal!!!

Hey Reggie Ragged .....

Where were you when the little Cheetah wanted to give you a lesson.
Where were you when we did a "final run" ..... you were no where to be found. Samantha made it out with the, as you say Flockers and quite enjoyed running in the boats of choice.
At least she didn't have to wait for those wannabee Fountain guys that hide in the boat house.
All I know .... what isn't much .... is there is a picture that has been authenticated and available for viewing ..... for your future testing and tuning pleasure.

I can hardly wait until my avatar is ready for viewing I going to make some heads and Fountains spin .....

LOL LOL LOL ......

Jeff

How fitting is this, this post was number 353 for me .....

Now wait just a minute here Petie,,,,,,,,,,,

Wannabees????? I'm not a "wannabee". I personally am not into trying to have the fastest boat. I couldn't care less who's faster than me - even amongst boats in my slow class.

And, the "Flockers" only fed on what was already being dished out by you two.

I'm not starting anything here but this petty "I'm faster stuff" is between you two. We only heap on to get you two going even more.

I've said it before, I don't care (and really, nether does anyone else care) who's boat is faster. You both have truly nice boats that anyone would be proud to own. What I'd really like to see is you two coming together, sharing information and knowledge in an effort to make both boats faster. You could have a lot more fun going out running hard then coming back to the dock with a little back slapping saying "that was cool, what should we work on now". Wouldn't that be a fun way to spend your boating time????

So, why don't you guys do a little information sharing and get over this sophomoric and useless bickering?!

K, I'm going back into sled-mode now - see ya.

Why would I even want to get into the Cheetah deal, I've been in one with Merola at 99 and it only had the 525s. Did Super Bird guy have at him?

Samantha really enjoys spending time with Bird and Julie, why wouldn't she go out with them. But do me one favor, the next time you see her have a conversation with her and get her opinion of the Formula 353. And keep in mind that this girl spent many years in the Velocity.

Nice number!

Now I'm not going to do to you what you did to me. All the BS about can you repeat the number, I bet you never will, you must have been sucking fumes, running down stream, with the wind, threw the wifey overboard ( we know you were alone ), and all the rest of the comments that came along.

I'll just leave it at................Nice number! Very nice!

Faster number is what it is...But it's only a number.

Yes I was on fumes this time and the boat was un-Gail-ed (gear removed for you that don't know the Mrs.), with the wind and coool temps. But, the wife was with me the last time I spanked you (BTW that was around 93mph). So...bring it on!!

Good for you Bob. I know it's tough to change jobs after so long but, you had the fortitude to do it so I hope it works out. Another trucking company? Weekends off has got to sound good to you!! Long hours during the week just seems to be a fact of life anymore, at least it is for me.

Doesn't blow up very big, you need to resize it and repost it. Maybe the chart plotter back up as well. How about the live video? That would be cool to see.

Rippem 11-06-2008 07:37 AM

appears to be 96 MPH on the GPS speedo recall. Isn't that what we go by these days? It was in the spring.

maybe I should post a 73 MPH GPS snapshot?
Naw...nevermind, I really don't care that much...

what I care about more is that my 6 year old Formula hasn't needed re-upholstering or re-painting.

Is there doubt? Like I said...It's just a number. Can I repeat it? I think so, if the conditions were there. What difference does it make, you won't be able to keep up anyways. Put whatever props you want to on the Biotch...It won't matter. In the REAL world, I put you away TWICE(after I added the spacer and learned how to drive it)...what more do you need? Does it make me any better then you? I should say not. Does it mean I have a faster boat then you....Right now it does.

As for the picture, that's about it...took it from the drivers seat before I put it away for the winter. Didn't even have the camera on board when I ran it. The chart plotter doesn't hold or recall the max speed.

True that!! Even my 10 year old is still looking awesome! And I didn't have to spend countless hours wet sanding buffing and waxing last winter. Gee...maybe that's why it's going to the paint shop?!?!

Well you have been known to leave out some details in the past.

Like they say...........Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

You can tell your pal that GPS is fine with me, as long as it's legit. And adding a little foam to some of the sunpad doesn't really constitute a re-upholstery job, anymore than his super ILD mattress deal means his Formula one was dog chit and failed. Wet sanding out a couple scratches, buffing and waxing? Due strictly to pride of ownership, about 14 years from now he'll understand that concept, if my math is right.

The paint? Well it is what it is, being fixed and not on my dime either. From what I understand a lot of builders are experiencing the same issues, and some are far more expensive brands than I have. Hopefully Greg can put and end to the problem, Larry tells me his is fine since Greg worked on it. Same paint but a different clear, that I used on the Velocity and was never an issue there. Who knows. I guess it's no different than engines, some run well and stay together, some chit out, some chit out more than once. I guess sometimes chit happens, must just be a part of human nature, you think? I kinda look at it that way, really what other choice do you have? Place blame on everyone associated with the deal? Consider them all stupid ignorant buttheads that haven't a clue what they're doing? Maybe I'm wrong here, you tell me.

RaggedEdge 11-06-2008 12:14 PM

Hardly , a few blisters that need to be fixed. And then a few graphic upgrades that I've been thinking of doing may be worked in as well. I would actually do the chit myself and have one of my brothers guys shoot it but the compressor at the storage building is not up to the task, so it's off to Kolor Craft in Syracuse early next week.

Rippem 11-06-2008 03:09 PM

Paint blistering off it like the Velocitys?

That's a shame and suprising considering it really hasn't spent that much time sitting in the water.

as far as the matress...at 6'5" and 240 lbs. I needed a little more to be comfortable than the "pads" most all perf boats come with in the berth.

comfort not necessity.
nothing was flapping in the wind or blistering off the original.

we won't go through that again Dave...;)

we excavated the entire area after these pics.

there must have been fifty 100lb. limestone fieldstones in there, Marian told me there would be...not to mention the huge foot thick slabs of old rebared foundation they used for cornerstones to set that building on. Ball busta!

so wet, so much water running down that hill towards the drainage on the north side

had the tractor stuck much, much more than once.

Rippem 11-06-2008 04:08 PM

good thing stone is very, very cheap :p

Some crusher run then inch-and-a-half in the new area a foot deep, with another 40+ ton of 3/4 minus to surface the entire top half of the new area, the drive to the building, and the top half of the circle.

that 3/4- chinks in hard... hard to disturb once it's set.
we'll do the two remaining pieces of the circle to the road in the spring.

not too bad for an RN, a radiology guy, an Allis farm tractor/loader, my Sunstar and hyd. dozer blade, and Matt's old single ax Chevy dump truck.

All the fill was able to go right across the road to Rick's as he's filling out back for his ever busier wrecker/salvage car hauling business.

inexpensive... one front tractor tire repair (nails) and a burst loader hose yesterday.
some fuel, food, window tint, and a set of them homemade flaps. :D

Hoping to get to finish stripping the metal building before it turns cold for good
so all I have to do in the spring is wash it down with TSP and paint it.

Rippem 11-06-2008 04:29 PM
