I am going to run the Isky Tool room 9005 spring this year, but I don't think you have to with the stock cam as Ragged mentioned. Either the Comp 929's or the Isky Endurance springs that Ragged suggested wil be fine. Pete, do you have a part number? I would also replace the retainers and locks while you are in there. Valve heights should be set at 1.900 or 150lbs. of seat pressure. (Should be around 1.880 to 1.900). Change the valve seals as well. Let me know if you need a source for the parts....I got a "Guy".

Thanks, it is ultimately your choice to make, I'm just trying to answer your question based on what I know and have learned, my education cost me some serious bucks. Would like to think that someone else could benefit here. Not sure I understand the "moisture problem", unless you mean the problems with reversion on the very early 500 Carb motors with the Gil manifolds. That was caused by the risers being too short, Merc corrected the problem by having Gil make them talller so that there was more of a drop to clear the water out. Your 500 EFI's have the CMI Elbow Tops, real good exhaust and you have nothing to worry about with them. If you want the Isky spring number that I used I will look it up. The springs Axa is using are too much for the stock 500's, perfect for his application, but more spring than you need for your engines. BTW those are some nice shots of the Sonic that Axa posted, change them springs and you can get some more of them every weekend this comming season. :D |

So you think you know Jack Schitt? Well now you do!
I stole this from the Superboat Forum...

WHO IS JACK SCHITT???
For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt!' Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way. Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack. In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt. Against her parents' objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock. Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt. NOW when someone says, "You don't know Jack Schitt," you can correct them. That is funny Schitt!! Dave |

I stole this from the Superboat Forum... That is funny Schitt!! Dave Well everyone is always telling me that I "Don't know Jack Schitt", and I'll have to admit that I've never met Jack personally. I do know the Schitt-Happens very well and seem to run into them most often during the boating season, seems we have mutual friends. And speaking of Dumb Schitts, I believe there are several in the family. There is of course Dumb Schitt, another goes by Real-Dumb Schitt, another by Very-Dumb Schitt, and still another that goes by Extremely-Dumb Schitt, not to forget Real's son Real F'N Dumb Schitt. So say what you want about me not knowing Jack Schitt, I sure know a whole bunch of Dumb Schitts. :D |

OSS gave us number 55 and we are working on a team name and logo, oh yea...and the boat! LOL Here is a picture so far. Should have updates after the weekend. BTW It won't be until afternoon on Sunday that I'll be up that way, so I'll still call you! Dave |

That would be the extra vehicle as a result of the new policy on the company vehicle. I'd asked MV to keep his eyes open and he said the minute he saw it he knew it was the M&K ride. It is sweet, has every option available.

Nice looking car 5P, this the replacement for the convertible? |
M & K are at Turning Stone to see Toby Keith this weekend...This is their "Gap Car".
New company policy at Kitty's work. Company use only for her company vehicle. 5PM wants to save fuel with the truck. You know that conversation with Rip and the HUGE savings on mileage and diesel fuel. :D You gotta drive many many years to get the real savings at $3.85 a gallon for diesel! Dave

Dave Still their summer ride! Every one should have a "Gap" to fill with one like that. What vintage is the "Gap Filler"? And the local Sunoco here in town is at $3.919 today. Seems the best way to experience the "HUGE" diesel advantage is to park the thing. Limits the economic impact to lost garage space, and the cost of cleaning products. Speaking of the two, that's a rather lively insurance discussion they have going. |

The car is an '05 Lexus ES330. We took it out to Turning Stone for the concert, a really sweet ride. Kitty's convertible is napping at the same place as the boat until April / May. Concert was great, started at 8 and didn't get over until midnight. Stayed at the Lodge and Sunday am Kitty went to the Spa and I went to the golf dome. Dave, ran into Bob Flanders there, he's doing well and gave us the open invite to come up and play sometime. As for our boy Wiley Coyote, spinning him up online has become so easy lately it's almost not a sport anymore. :evilb:

Just cause it's somewhat less than sporting would not be cause to give up the game. Think of it like golf, were you to get a hole-in-one would you quit and never play again? Or get right back in there and try for another? :D |

Do ya just keep trying? Dave Now I was informed a while back that this was a "brand specific forum", dedicated to the advancement of this particuliar brand and the associated "ownership experience", that I should refrain from comments not in keeping with that agenda. So................................................ ... That in mind, I'm just buffin', waxin', and detailin' my new boat. Anticipating the approaching end of winter, the upcomming boating season, and a boat ride. I believe this will be the dawning of a new era in "pleasure boating",,,,,,,,,,,,,,, as we know it.:D |
What happened to your insider info post?
