Fenders in the slip? Why the fock would anyone in their right mind take the, in my case at least, chance of marking a boat for the sake of couple hundred bucks worth of fenders. Let alone the ease of not having to go thru all the f'ning around with hanging them on the boat when coming in. Which reminds me, I need to get those Polyform Elites for the slip fenders! Just in the off chance the Biotch comes into some ever so slight a contact with them when I'm docking.

Back in the day my second set of hands didn't need the help, twist the nose one way then the other, bow done! Back it down and he had the stern handled before I had the engines and blowers off. Things are different now, this one is somewhat challenged. But I've yet to put a mark on a boat in the past 10 seasons, or ever for that matter, with Samantha as the sole mate on board. You should appreciate the deal, as you knew her for many years before I. Even with the "help" I am, for all practical purposes, on my own.

Far as 5P and the Evil Currents, really don't know. Either he has a handle on it, or just to dumb to notice. But I have seen him crank it in there. Then pop a Corona, stuff a lime, and watch Axa Dockin' the Most! The other demon, the inward spinning props. :eek:

I understand the perceived value of the junior high networking thing, but I, as often as I wanted, went boating practically any time, any day of the week even if nobody else could...and enjoyed it- 20 mins from the water has always been nice!

In terms of boating, my love is for the water first, who's aboard second, and the social aspects beyond the confines of my boat third.

my Velocity spun in(to) that slip for seven years and never had an issue...
but the key is slow, close enough to the wall that your own transom wave and prop-wash will push you to the high side as your backing in if your moving too fast. much more control over this effect with outboard rotation though.

Well since it only takes me 1/2 the time to cover the same distance! I gave you a head start this year, I'm just that kinda' guy. :drink:

My mousetrap is pretty simple, in keeping with the basic principal of the whole deal. I did opt for the bright yellow poly line. Only to save the would be slip poacher his VHF antenna should he fail to notice the line across the slip. Some have suffered from that in the past and the rope won. :eek:

The whole deal works like a dream. Saturday in the evil winds, as others talked of docking horrors, I put the Biotch down the chute straight as an arrow. Gotta love it when a plan comes together! Of course a little savy and talent thrown into the mix never hurts either.

Anyone in the bay this weekend? We're planning on getting up there Sat AMish.

The Biotch was cracking the 90's this afternoon on the way back from Kingston. Little lazy in the heat, but still gettin' with the program! :drink:

Saturday "King of the River Run" Whos in? The kingston poker run starts at 10:00 so they should be coming by Singer Castle around 10:30-11:00? closer to the 11. Soooo with this in mind should we plan a 10:00ish start out in front of Bonnie Castle? Where's Got Twins the unofficial official island tour guide for the back side?

The only way you will see Jeff at Singer is if you can run about 100....From what I understand he will be in the run...A Slingshot will be his ride.:drink:

Quiet Weekend for The Flock
 

Spent a couple nights at the Boathouse compliments of Ragged, gotta say what a nice time !
Key players with skin in the games were missing for sure so we look forward to a do-over soon, they can call for a Mulligan this time around.
Great meeting 5PMSMWHR and his misses as well as their good friends, thanks for all you did to make us welcome !
Took a ride in the Biotch late Saturday with Hot Stepper as we banged the limiter repeatedly at 9?mph,( you know I can not post that number here):evilb: nice meeting him as well.
Bird and Mike from the Pond can attest to seeing that run as we saw them coming back in, also a pleasure to have seen them out during the run spectating.
I think Ragged slept well knowing we had any F-brand of boat covered should any smack be laid down, although with out the boldness created by a few stiff slushies no lines were drawn that would require crossing.

For all his help this weekend........I nominate Ragged as King of The River !!

Hopefully next time around I can see some of this ball-bustin' made legendary by this thread.

Gotta say we had a great time, perfect weather, great boating, great food, few cocktails, hanging on the dock with a group of genuinely good people. The whole weekend was what this deal is all about and the real reason we all do this. Not to mention spending a day on the most awesome piece of fiberglass I have ever experienced in my life!

HOLY COW!! Pretty much says it all!!!

P.S. Rock Star says that stereo is just plain outrageous, thought the Boathouse roof was going to levitate when you started to crank on it! :eek: And I think he wants in on the "Guy Ride".

A great weekend!!! Holy Cow is no doubt an impressive piece of machinery and has that sick whipple whine underway. Kelly and Julie are great people, was nice to get to know them over the weekend. Good to see Bird and Pachanga Mike as well. And it was really cute Sunday morning seeing Pete all curled up on the carpet next to his new Fountain buddies boat. BTW Pete, did you take your trailer?

No, as it turned out I didn't need the trailer. The Biotch supprised me and ran 9?+ mph with those props I put on it thursday when Kelly and I took it out and flogged it late Saturday. I think we were both supprised!:drink:

Speaking of curled up and comfy, I believe that there are a few pics of a certain wine connoisseur that was somewhat out of touch with the rest of the world on Saturday night. Although I did notice he had some real spring in his step, so to speak, on Sunday morning. ;)

Now if I can just remember where those pics are. :eureka:


P.S. BTW, Darryl and Penny need to pony up some cash! At least clean up the surround fur!

We really did miss your presence over the weekend. For the first time in 6 years I managed to level the odds in the Boathouse, only to be stuck with number two as the sole representative. And he passed out!:eek: YES! I have proof!!

Just cause Kelly nominated ragged for king of the river doesn't give him the title. Remember the current holder gets to set the rules. first year was first to singer castle with a couple of no shows I assumed it. second year was he with the most women on board and raggeds better side took the pic of proof. If we stick with year one Kelly would have been to singer and back before any of us got there. Having pondered on your post periodically through out the day, as time allowed, and having reserved comment earlier this morning, I would offer the following..............

I believe Kelly's nomination is not related to King of the River as you take it. In our case it was simply that two, rather four, folks with a common interest and love of boating got together and had a great time over the weekend, simple as that. My hope is that he and Julie had a great time and as such will return.

As it relates to your concept of the King deal, all I can say is that all three brands had equal representation in the Boathouse over the weekend for the first time in six years. Yet none of you stepped forward and took up the flag for your brand. The Fountain guys were out there sporting their best effort, where were you guys?

Oh, I forgot, the fastest you went all weekend was in the back seat of the Biotch late saturday afternoon with the slow props on! Last I looked the Biotch has FOUNTAIN logos on the side of it!
