Simply not going to happen Stepper. Have a confirmed drive thru appointment for the lower on tuesday @ 1:00 PM. If all goes well with the fix both lowers will be in the downdraft booth, shot, baked, and ready to rip by the end of the week.

Now about that little River Run, I still say it should be a good old redneck run what you brung deal. Just don't understand why you're stalling on this, time will be here before you know it. :drink:

RaggedEdge 06-18-2010 06:00 PM

So where is this "When will Ragged splash pool" ?

I have $100.00 in cash that says you guys can not hit the time within an hour. Take your shots boys! :lolhit:

It's really hard to predict down to the hour when the event is still so far off in the future!!!!!:lolhit:

Yeah, just got in yesterday. All systems are go except for the speedo tube I crunched when I slipped the drive on,,,, DOH!!
No big deal, fixed it today.

Hey, any ideas where I might get a trim pump reservoir dipstick? Discovered mine is gone, don't when, I've never even pulled one out becuase you can see the fluid level through the reservoir. Anyway, part is no longer available. Posted it up over in the tech section, no luck.

Could try HBW, they have been going thru and blowing out some outdated parts. Might be a used pump up on the top deck in the shop, tons of odd items up there.

Must be it was worse down there in Rockandrollchester. I was in my building at the time with the new tennants working out space mods and never felt a thing. But then it's a 100+ years old, I guess they just don't make them like the did back then, not a shake or shimmy. Honestly never felt a thing up here. Heard it on the evening news.

But then a 5.5 Canadian quake would only be worth 2.75 U.S. :drink:

Yes I did!:drink:

Thursday night was spent with Jake finishing up a few little maintence deals. New sea water pump kits, and another go round with the 3X fixed drive. Then the next two days with a clay bar cleaning the "Glass Guys" rattle can overspray chit off every square inch of the Biotch on Friday and Saturday. The brainless fool painted the wheels and hub caps on his sons $500 buck car in the same building that the boat is stored in! Long story, but his Corvette is covered in the same chit! Poetic Justice!!!

Launched it Sunday just after noon. Then I sent Jake off in the Biotch on a shake down rip from Wagoners Marina while I beat feet to HBW to rig up the slip with fenders and lines.

In all my years I have never, ever, sent anyone off in my priceless toy. Jake is the first and the only! This young man has his chit together!!! He is my "Guy" for all things with the Biotch.

Now .... I am not a mechanic but ..... I did learn a couple of things this weekend.
If you have a lots of both of these .......... you won't lose oil pressure.
Hence if you don't you will end up like the other picture .... (look closely) ....

2nd Annual Sandy Pond Poker Run/Fun Run

Sorry about the short notice guys but if you have not heard, my little brother is hosting our second poker run/fun run from the pond on July 17th. Following the Fun Run there will be the fifth annual Sandy Pond Beach Extravagance featuring JP Shaggy. Again, I said my little brother is hosting, the only way I will take some responsibility of these events is that the day goes on with a hitch.

Hope to see all you guys there include but not limited to
Chillin the most

How the hell does a veteran boater like Bird run out of gas? He just put the thing in the water Friday. How much can you burn at 40mph?:evilb:

So if I follow this right Bird ran out of gas, which resulted in the loss of oil pressure? Which resulted in him being a Bird on a Rope? Or did the motor take a chit like the trailer brakes?

The trailer brakes were the result of failed equipment, everyone understands that, the gas thing was a result of dumbassedness, and in Bird's case, we understand that...

Dave,
the 4th was a bit of a cluster...
got to the ramp, ran for 3 minutes then no re-start starboard!
no fuel I was guessing
checked the water seperator...yup, dry
uh oh
got some fuel and filled the seperator and thought I might be in business...
long story short, lost a boost (fuel) pump, but was able to run off-plane on the injection pump.

so there was no getting on plane!
did the ThirdBird dream and trawled around Henderson Bay
(though the dream is one big step ahead of being on a rope!)

drifted in White's Bay and yapped with Mike Owen for awhile
(he went to leave for Kingston and lost a boost pump just days earlier!)
later fast idled over to sixtown point and spent the night on the hook.
nose into a 15+ wind blowing down the hatches all night, crystal-clear starlit skies, NO bugs, fireworks off in the distance and closer :drink:.
slept 10 hours with watch
on the 5th spent the day anchored in the sand field south of Campbell's Point.
awesome day there!

wasn't all I looked forward to with the boat issue, but we made the very best of it! :)

Rippem 07-08-2010 03:45 PM

ordered the pump Tuesday morn, here this morning, R&R'd by 10 am.

going out Sunday, thinking about the River for the day

Rippem 07-08-2010 03:55 PM

'Bird I have all the brakes off my trailer!
been reluctant to scrap because it's all good parts!

ALL the surge actuator guts +
drums/hubs/bearing sets bagged/labeled and stamped matched to the hub they came out of!
+ complete backing plates (shoes, wheel cylinders, pins/springs...complete! This is low mile stuff!)
and six BRAND NEW wheel cylinders in the box!

you can have it all for spares, doesn't take up that much space and you would have ANYTHING you need right at hand!

come and pick the chit up! I'll NEVER use any of it, you just might!

Bastid!!!!!!!

I thought things that happened at Sodus stayed at Sodus. I could tell some stories about you and the pool, but I won't.

In any event, to all those reading this, Jeff was The Man!! Towed me in, got on his whamadyne hand-held satellite powered crackberry and got the marina to open back up after hours so I could get fuel. Thanks Buddy!!!!!

By the way, the Sodus trip for the Fourth needs to become an annual event. We should have booked docks before we left. Nice marina, very nice.

5PMSMWHR 07-09-2010 07:52 PM

Bird, my extremely better half booked us 4 slips for 2011 with Kayla before we left Sunday. How 'bout that Explorer show:poopoo:?

No kidding? Does one have Bird's name on it? It's worth going back just to look at Kayla!!

Yeah, the Explorer show. Don't you just love random naked chicks??:drink:

Tell your trawler friends thank you again and that their boat is simply stunning, I was blown away. And tell them I'm still emabarassed for almost walking through their $1,000.00 screen door!!! DOH!!

5PMSMWHR 07-14-2010 08:30 PM

I may get back to Sodus Sunday so I'll check for abandoned Explorers. Anyone know how to retrieve deleted photos off an IPhone? On a bay note, we're in the 30th or 31st, Axa work the location, I really liked our slip last year with the mystery current....that half hour I had after I docked waiting for you to get in was handy....I know, your props are turning normal now... Looking towards the poker run, as much as we've talked about getting running video / pics should we contact whoever is doing it and see if they might be able to find us at some point in the day? Maybe while the runners are in Brockville at lunch. I'm thinking a helo view of someone dragging Bird would be pretty damn awesome...

5PMSMWHR 07-14-2010 08:36 PM
