:drink: MERRY CHRISTMAS to all the BUSTERS! :drink:
Hope everyone has a great day! PETER and SAMANTHA And Jeff, sweet looking pair of twins you got there. |
Can't believe I had to go 10 pages to find this thread! Need some help guys....found a small sportboat for my camp for short cruises and watersports. It needs a cover (potentially some vinyl work at the end of the season with separated seems). Who do you guys recommend. Boat is in LG right now so if I buy it can have it done there or anywhere from Albany, Syracause, The Bay or North Country (amish?). 18ft closed bow. Thanks

So what do you need? I am in Mexico (not NY), sand, tanning lotion, drinks, SUN and 85*-90* everyday...An hour to work and check emails and then pure relaxiation. snorkeling in a reef today in a couple of hours...

Dave :lolhit: Tis the season !!!! Jeff |
Use Larry either in the bay or outside Binghamton. Him and his wife did excellent work with our camper top and a couple of vinyl issues. Axa, I hear you can get roofies in Mexico without a prescription....can relive Carnivale in Vegas..:ernaehrung004:

Tis the season !!!! Jeff Ahhhhhhhhh! :drink: Now if I can just remember where I left the boat last fall. |
I just got back from shopping in this little "straw market". They have awesome deals on jewelry! Bought another Rolex for like $50 bucks...way nicer than mine, think its real?
As for the alligator flip flops, can't find a Nieman Marcus anywhere, guess we'll all have to go back to Vegas!! As for the weather, well all I can say is wow. haven't had a day below 85 and nothing but sun. It all ends tomorrow...back to the grind. Hope my boss is in a better mood when I get back! Later, Dave |

Later, Dave He should be, I hear he hasn't worked a minute since you left town. You going to make the 60th celebration in Syracuse this Saturday? Samantha hasn't heard from Gail on this yet. |

Well, that relationship didn't last long.
The comment last weekend was "it's always for sale". I did hear it likely has another season it it. |
Happy Easter to all. Spent yesterday on a custom built 75 foot cruiser with 3100 hp of twin Cat diesels 50 ton and still turned 38.5 knots on the open ocean. Burning about 120 gallons an hour. To add to the adventure our friend grounded it half a mile from the marina. $1200 to Sea tow and we were good to go.
|
So that was the boat? Something about you, Florida, and sandbars...
Hasn't this happened before? Hope you are enjoying the warm weather! Happy Easter everyone too! Dave |
Dave, the pic I sent you is Tiger Woods boat, not the one we were on. Just in the same marina. Tigers is about 100-125 ft long
|
:ernaehrung004:Good to see this thread back up and you guys out there n NY our off of your sleds for the year. Wish the weather would turn here in Ia also, we should have been on the water by now but it is still crap here too. Hope everyone has a good summer.
|
Ok Tigers boat was 155ft and offered at 25 mil

http://erie.craigslist.org/boa/2343944109.html[/QUOTE] That IS neat!!! If those photos are actually representative of the condition, it is one rare bird. That would be a fun little day boat for the Pond. Can't believe the photo of the deck, it's black and it looks like new!!! $12.5k is a bit steep though, it would be a nice $5k boat. |
Really liked the graphics on the Mass. boat. The LS18 was marketed as a 38 to vertically challenged Fountain owners in the mid 80s to allow them to actually see over the windshield of something in the market place. Little guy feel big now... (someone drag out the Twins pic in the Fountain seat...)

OK, I'm claiming first in the water. Sure it wasnt my boat or in NY, but it should count. We were on the open ocean and we anchored in Jupiter island. I'm first, who's next?

Going by your rules, anyone who went on a cruise in February would be first on the water. I'm throwing the bullchit flag down on this one!!! |
Well, no cruise for me in February, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!
All kidding aside, beat you 5PM. The boat that took us out to the reef April 12th to go snorkeling. I have been on my own boat a few times this year and it was raining out...does that count? Dave |
Mine made it to the driveway this past weekend. :drink:

Ok, the Biotch is still in the barn, but I did have a bonding expericence with Mother Nature's prized liquid asset this afternoon. Raquette River, Hannawa Falls, New York, below the power dam, several hundred feet down a 45 degree bank on the rivers edge. This Biotch was roaring today. I am always amazed by water at it's wildest, could not resist. Upper reseviors are way too full and today was dump it time. Proof positive that you should never F' with Mother Nature.
|
Interesting addendum to my boat adventure in West Palm Beach last Saturday..... this is email from the boat owner after having it pulled...."Our little moment of being stuck on Saturday night was not on a sand bar they believe it was a boat. After being hauled out and seeing the damage and when they asked where we were they told John that during the last hurricane there were a lot of boats that sunk in that area and that people have been getting stuck on them. " For you cruiser wannabes, heres a link to the actual boat

Now, that is what a boat should be. That is very nice. No goofy loopy-lounger seats, no vinyl on the walls, no carpet on the soles to get all soggy, just nice classic brightwork. Of course, all the money my 401 will ever make won't buy that one!!!:(
Maybe that's what you were on in Ohio...another boat! Dave |
