Thanks, it was quite the mini-adventure. I have a lot more footage, maybe I can up load the rest. According to the experts this is the highest flow the Raquette has ever seen, three times it's norm this time of year. As they say "Don't F' with Mother Nature" and this is proof why! Still rolling at this rate today, Orion says just a "Controlled Release", looked more like "Controlled Cahos" to me.

Far as the roost effect, I doubt Kelly O's sixes could move this much water, and I have seen that up close and personal.

P.S. Check the Shogren site, new staggered offering!:drink:

Finally starting to get a few nice days up here as well. Thinking I might be back to my old bad habits though, looking for that splash by the Fourth deal. Oh well, I will get a boat ride in a couple weeks, working the in water demo days deal for Mark at HBW the weekend of the 21st.

All looked good at the boat house yesterday. I looked around ... things are slowly coming together!
I met my mom in the Bay for "Mother's Day" .... We had a great lunch at Coleman's .... sat out on the deck.
Interesting though .... Bonnie Castle's restaurant was a ghost town where Riveredge had a 2hr wait for a seating.
I ran into the boys and their families from Sandy Pond at Coleman's ... they were looking like they were enjoying the day as well.

Welcome to OSO !!!

Well it's about time you joined!

Mike with Bad Habit (388 Slingshot) just joined OSO .... his name on here is "hustler badhabit" .....

I watched a special yesterday and they said this freakin weather is going to last to the middle to end of June then going to be hot the rest of the summer ... judging how hi the water is right now I wouldn't be in a hurry to get in the water anyway .... there is a ton of debris floating ...... I was at a local bar called Pelican's friday night on the Genesee River and watched a freakin telephone pole float by the dock.

:eek::eek:

That would leave a mark!

Jeff

Oh it is definiately Fountains .....:lolhit:

But I do think you drink Burbon to cope with not owning a Formula

Or .....

It helps you explain why you wearing Sandi's heels sitting on Sam's lap sleeping one night on the dock.

Or .....

Sitting in a kids folding chair while I'm sitting in a regular folding chair along side of you simulating what a guy in Formula looks like passing a guy in Fountain ..... :boat:

Other then that Ragged, you don't have any Bad Habits I know about !

WTF !!! that is getting old ......

But the good news is BAD HABIT has all the right parts now to do a genuine NASCAR pit stop while on the fly......

Gonna go out on a limb here, but I'd like to make a bet.

5PMSMWHR will be in the boathouse before Ragged this summer...

Any Takers?:party-smiley-004:

Well, with 5P selling his and Ragged running around river banks taking pictures, I don't think either will be in there anytime soon.

Pete, are you taking the boat up today? I am planning on being in the bay tomorrow morning sometime.
We are going to the camp tonight.... then up to the river for brunch.

I'm with Axa if you are refering to "boat" in boathouse....

:lolhit: Gotta love the mid stream rule changing, if I recall the bet was that 5P would make it in the boathouse before me. Pretty simple deal. I was there today, I was also on a boat there in the boathouse. No I do not have pics, I do have witnesses sworn to tell the details of the event exactly as instructed! I can provide the list upon request. :drink:

P.S. Stock up on the ammo Axa, we have morning doves chittin'n in the boathouse as we speak.

P.S.S. Yes it was Hutchinsons Boathouse and the boat was in the water! Instructions as to where to send the money will follow. I accept cash, good checks and most major credit cards.

axapowell 05-21-2011 09:05 PM

Awe crap on the morning Doves...

As for the bet, if I can't change the "rules" then I'll just start a new one...

I'll make a bet that 5PMSMWHR will be on HIS boat, in Hutchinson's boathouse before Ragged is on his boat in Hutchinson's boathouse.

How's that?

Dave

PS: Better find some magic in that Fountain, business has been really good, and the boat is going out for testing the "new" setup tomorrow. I am expecting a new high water mark on the ol GPS Speedo...

Might want to temper the enthusasim, Twins might back up to your slip with a little Orange boat, or, God forbid, some farmer back in there. Holy F'n Cow!!!

5PMSMWHR 05-22-2011 04:32 AM

OK, so after some bureaucratic BS with the new owners of our marina in Oswego (F'in city), we've decided to do the whole season in the Bay. We've reserved the most challenging slip to navigate in the entire boathouse, (what can I say, I like a challenge). Spent the better part of yesterday waxing the hullsides and bottom of the boat. This year tried the Colonite 925 product. A little extra work to get the haze off, (did it all by hand), but the Imron colors really pop with this stuff. Supposedly it has good longevity. Being in the boathouse, it won't be getting exposed like in 'swego. We're in either Sat. or Sun. next week, let the season begin!!!!

axapowell 05-22-2011 06:53 AM

Off to Cayuga Lake to test this AM. Hoping for some good results.

OK.............now this feels a little "covert" to me. Now Axa can say he announced he was going to my home water and I did not show up to play.

Saw a few too many floating obstacles at north end of Cayuga yesterday so I will wait a little longer.

Hope the test goes well, maybe keep the boat here for next weekend. We can meet up between rain showers !!

I am sure we will see video of Dave's test, so I will share a test from this spring.

Keep in mind, this was before the new set-up went in:evilb: !!

BTW: I was in the water first......my boat, March 19th, 80 degree weather.:drink:

Good deal, was thinking you might make that choice. Do be carefull the river has lots of chit, Brad and Nancy hit what they thought was a dock friday. Hit so hard they had Bob pull the boat to check the hull out. Others were saying they had seen trees, whole thing not just branches, floating down thru. Water is still pretty high up there, I've heard they closed down the Robert Moses dam to slow the flooding in Montreal so it may take more time to clear out.

Try the Colonite liquid next time, very easy to take off. Used it for ages, tried something different last year, but going back to Colonite this year. That is whenever I actually get to it. If you drop in next weekend you'll likely beat me by close to a month, right now it looks like I'll shoot for the 4th.

I guess I'm like Axa. Been installing heads lately, difference is his are aluminum and mine are porcelain. FYI, Kohler does do some nice bowl work. :)

Sweet, you're going to need to call Liviorsi for a new speedo. You're going to run out of dial on that one! Was that the run that Brian backed out of it ? ;);)

I have to wonder though if Cayuga will be up to the task today of supporting the numbers that the majical waters of the Pamlico are famous for.

Nothing covert here! Well maybe...No really nothing, kinda sort of. Ok, no really!!!

Anyways, was a good test day between the rain showers. Made it up to Union Springs, and then fought with a little shower here and there and a traffic jam at the ramp. Boat ran really well, not sure the weather was conducive to a "big" number. Seemed like the humidity took away a few ponies.

Got nothing for ya Kelly.

Didn't see a whole lot of debris. Stayed in the middle, maybe a different story around the shore line. A few things to check out and then off to the Bay for the summer

So, if it's not covert, where are the overt numbers???? This whole secrecy thing is kind of gay!! Come out of the closet with the numbers Axa!!!! OK, I'll go first, temp right, humidity right, waves right, low fuel load, 67mph!! Yup, not chit, 67, no lie!!!!!

axapowell 05-22-2011 06:30 PM

Bird,

It was an odd number. Does that help?

Wasn't really out for a number. Tuning some new parts and checking my new transom assemblies. I do have a small water leak that I have to look for. Not sure if it's one of the inspection plate on the extension box or a loose water fitting. I'll check into it tomorrow.

That is very respectable, my 32 Pachanga had 454/330's and could only muster up 60-62 on a good day. A pair of 177 blowers could get you 6-8 more, then some Chillers! Possibilities are endless. ;)

I do agree, F'n things will only run what they run. I have absolutely nothing for Kelly either but I am proud of my best ever run and happy for him that his trip to Washington paid off in spades for him. I'm going to have the better and more computer savy half get it up on YouTube so I can link it over here. Just to set the program here the vid is of the Biotch's best ever. Never shared it before but I think it is pretty cool chit.

Screw this who is in the Boathouse first chit, lets see 'em run!!! :boat:

Glad you had a good day. Wish I knew you were coming all the way up to Springs, would have met up for a minute to visit at the launch. Seems with the south breeze the water would have been nice.
You came up to the infamous Sandy Cove where we often hang out.
Hope to catch you at the Boathouse this summer, I could use a high-octane 'slurpy'. Plus I need some tips from the King of Bling on what to upgrade next.

We will have to sit down and talk sometime. We used to boat on Cayuga quite often. It used to be called "cruisers cove". Kind of like the Lake of the Isles of Cayuga Lake. Been there several times! Always a fun time.

If I'd known I was going to test, I sure would have gotten a hold of you. But with the uncertain weather conditions, I wasn't even sure I was going to get out.

I'm pretty sure that Holly Cow is already a bling factory from what I've been told, but let me know how I can help!
