Glad you had a good day. Wish I knew you were coming all the way up to Springs, would have met up for a minute to visit at the launch. Seems with the south breeze the water would have been nice.
You came up to the infamous Sandy Cove where we often hang out. Hope to catch you at the Boathouse this summer, I could use a high-octane 'slurpy'. Plus I need some tips from the King of Bling on what to upgrade next. How did you make out with the lights? That is a bad azz video of both the rooster and Speedo .... I have a friend of mine from Canada looking at a 38 Lightning with 700s w/NXTs (?) .... I think that is what he said .... would be a contender for you I would think ? Who knows .... All I know is ... I am an honest 80-82 mph straight up Route 81 behind my GMC 2500 HD w/Duramax ...... :lolhit: Jeff |

Thanks again for the hook-up, owe you a ride sometime this summer. Then you will want to become "Mr. Got Staggered Twins".:drink: Yes, 38/700 boats are great package, run in the teens pretty consistently. Good luck to your friend on the purchase. |

Since Pete was kind enough to share his Numbers guess someone else might have to step up and post his:drink: looks like we might have a good King of the River run coming up. I'll post the rules along with time and place as we get closer to August.
|
So, we finally have a number posted!!!! Very nice Pete. See, now that didn't hurt, did it?
Now that one is out of the closet, when is the other coming out party!!!!!??? C'mon, Dave, Pete just served it over the net. |

Now that one is out of the closet, when is the other coming out party!!!!!??? C'mon, Dave, Pete just served it over the net. Thank You!!! Have never claimed it did anything it did not do, have some more videos showing the same but hesitated to put on YouTube as they have some excited explitatives in them. To clarify the run, it was with the Precision 5 blades prior to sending back to BBlades for labbing. Labbing was a flop, and has resulted in the hard to plane deal I have going on. Have many videos of the Biotch comming on plane with them stock and have thought of posting one for those that seem to think it's me or the Fountain hull causing the problem. Should have just called it good as they were, but prop guy was saying plus 2-3 was a brain dead deal, just send the check. Oh well, live and learn. None the less I am proud, from my research no other stock, side by side, 525 powered 35 Has ever seen that number, lots of 91's 2's and a few 3's out there, no claims to the 94 number. Is what it is, seldom fails to show me 90 or better. Ask Stepper, he was in it with Kelly O and I at 91 with the non labbed 32 Bravos, lite on fuel, but a solid 91 up stream into the wind. Hey, what can I say? It is a 100% stock boat. The real deal for me is that it is stock, turn key, trouble free and runs pretty strong. What it's all about for me, lovin' every minute with this boat!!! :drink: |

I will for sure be in before August, could easily hook and splash it for this weekend. But it needs the Ragged touch before I put it in for the season. Big reason is that I have sworn to finish this house remodel, F'n deal has dragged out way too long and if I start to play with the boat it will continue to drag. Will be in when you show and looking foreward to the King event, regardless of the rules I think the Biotch can be a contender. Or I could just invite Kelly O up for the weekend! Holy Cow I do think the Fountain camp would rule then!:drink: Have a fun and safe first ride, I'll be out and about shopping for a new stove and a couple toilets. |
Ragged's got his number. Those days are over. I have proven myself several times with my old tank and 13 year old hull design. I've got stills that everyone has seen and it will pretty much throw a high 80 to low 90 most any day. Not too many 353's that can say that. Oh yea, naturally aspirated, and 90% of the work I did MYSELF. I hope that says something.

Memorial Day
Hey Guys,
I hope everyone has a safe and fun Memorial Day Weekend! I unfortunately won't be making it up to the river this weekend due to this freak'in weather. Watch out for the floating debris in the river .... I spoke to some friends who have cottages up there on both sides and they said the same thing ...... " tons of logs and limbs in the river" Jeff |
Well It's official. The Hot Stepper got wet yesterday:drink: Not me the boat. As Jeff mentioned about debri. Lets make that DEBRI............I launched in the black river which feeds the St Clair. saw one 40 foot tree and a dock and lots of little chuncks that could do some damage as well. Made for a nice obstacle corse trying to get in and out of the launch. But once out in Lake Huron. Whole diffeent story other than the pesky flies. Water was flat temp around 80 ran 68:drink: Hope everyone elses weekend went well.

There was fog approx. 1/4 mile offshore made it erie especially when yo are looking for trees and limbs in the water. Looking forward to getting up to the river soon! Jeff |
I got in on Wednesday, 5PM was in on Sunday.
RESULTS: King of the River was held on Monday. Ragged showed up 2 days early without his boat? A tie! Chillin' and 5PMSMWHR both had an exceptional day on the river cruising at 55 mph. Only winner was the Arabs. "Warming the Globe 16 cylinders at a time!" Dave |

I do believe had I spent as much on a set of labbed props as I did on the kitchen stove I could have mustered something better than 55 at the monday event. Simply stating that I was 2 days early for an event is in itself somewhat suspect considering my reputation. Perhaps you can reschedule the "King" event for some time in July. At which time I promise not to show up early. :lolhit: |
Can't hide from you guys' legend no matter where I go or who I talk to.
Met a client of Axa's while they were dropping a trailer for a 47 Fountain to store at my place, guy had some sled stories to share, believe he is a Endicott resident also. Ragged has a bud selling a mint 97 35 that a friend went to see Monday, the subject quickly turned to boats discussed here and people we all know and have in common. Small world when you run in the same circles. |
Kelly, must have been Jon you spoke to. Great guy, Jason's uncle maybe. Yep, the stories. We are legends in our own minds!
Ragged the only one that does circles...The king of procrastanation! Dave |

Small world when you run in the same circles. Tell your bud that Shawn's boat is the real deal. I would vouch for it any day. Boat is every thing and more than it shows. Shaun is as fussy as they come as well as being a very honest guy. Call me, I can give you all the inside poop on the boat to pass on. Shaun and I had a very long conversation couple mornings ago. |

Dosen't have to fly very high to make it over my head.:lolhit: Besides, I like going in circles. You see something you like, you get to see it again in a little while. What more could a man ask for? :drink: |
Just got my reservation in for the boat house......we'll be up the evening of Aug 12th staying for the week. So who's in for the King of the River Run 13th, 14th or 20th?
|
The King of theRiver Run was two weeks ago. Axa and I tied, (although I do have video of me walking by him...)

Any witnesses? Remember that the original run was determined by the members of the TIBBC that the race required judges at the finish line to determine the true winner and put the boasting and bragging to bed. Yeah like that will ever happen :drink: Can't wait to get back up there
Best bring your "A" game when you come. I started on the Biotch today after work today. Major program in the works for this weekend, this biotch will be soooooooooooooo slick it will just have to be a few faster. I'm hoping that it won't be soooooooooooooo slick for the Go Pro Azz Cam cam to hold, then I can get some video of all you guys......................... Waaaaaaaaay back there. :drink: Like Bird said if you've got it, post it! Eliminates the need for witnesses! |
Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Twins and I have decreed that July 4th will be celebrated in the bay this year. Anyone who wants to join, call HBW for accommodations. Pretty sure the Biotchs slip will be available if he hasn't given it up to our dairy farmer.

10 hours yesterday, another 10 today with the Dewalt and short of a little more polishing on the transom of the Biotch, just for your viewing pleasure ;);), she is ready to splash. Well I do need to add some gear lube, do a quickie on the interior, and install the new custom made fitted sheets. So don't be counting on my slip for any of your fellow Flockers. I plan to leave a little grippy spot to attach that Azz Cam, you best practice that smile! :lolhit: P.S. Tell Twins that the Farmer might just have something for that little Orange boat, hell with the new wheels the Biotch might too. Did I ever say it had not been in the water yet this season??? Don't believe I did!!! :evilb: |
