Kevin, here the deal on the planing, according to Dano that runs these boats more than I do,and ran your new boat. Your old boat had 4-blade props, which slip more coming on plane, hence the rpms come up quicker and the engines sound better coming on plane. Your new boat has 5-blade props which bite much better, very little slip, and you may think the engines aren't revving as fast. They aren't, but the props are biting better. I can pretty much guarantee that in a drag race with both boats, your new boat will be in front,it just may not sound like it. But on the next trip, make sure your camera batteries are hot, we all want to see pictures

Robert,
Thanks for the feedback. I tend to agree with you, and that's why I stated that it seemed like the R's weren't there. It makes sense that it would appear to be slower out of the hole. Like I said, I just need to get more familiar with this boat. As far as the camara goes, that's just my dumb luck! I'll definitely get pics next time! By the way, I like the boat you sold me!

Just a note on the Cam ... Simular thing happened to me on a trip up to Lake Cumberland to look at some boats .. I charged the cam up good but when we got there took a cpl of pics and the battery died ...Turns out the battery was done ( 3-4 years old) . My Sony cam switches off if you dont use it for about 5 mins ....

It was a real pleasure to meet Kevin, his lovely wife Kelly, and friend Jay. The boat is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures just don't do it justice.
I thought the boat planed-off the same as mine with over 600 h.p., extension boxes, and 28 Bravos. Seems to bog below 3000 r.p.m., but then launches when my power curve comes in.
Just so happened our local club (LEOPA) was having a cook-out at the marina when we pulled up to haul out. Everyone was drooling! We thought we might BS everyone that it was MY new boat, but the trailer was hooked up to Kevin's truck so they wouldn't have bought it for long. Besides, I didn't want to deprive Kevin the pleasure of pulling up to the dock with an audience for the first time.
I definately concur that Kevin needs more time on the water to get more familiar with the boat, so ... when we goin' again?!
