Dont bother, got pulled over by the MD DNR and the Coast Guard on the same day, on the Potomac river. Dnr says it has to be registered even if its documented, what they mean is you must get the sticker and display it. Was told by DNR that all they were really worried about was that you paid your MD sales tax. Which you have to do to get your registration sticker, or provide proof that you already paid it.

That's it exactly. It's the only way they can catch up with the sales taxes. Monday I will pay the piper! I knew it was only a matter of time Oh well. as Cuda would say, "It's only money, I'll make more tomorrow". I use that line all the time now.

Not yet, but I will have some by the end of the week! Thanks. If you feel bad for me that I have to pay my sales tax and want to buy me the ON/OFF stuff for me, I kindly accept the offer

Picked up the IN State registration today. What a joke. The BMV had no idea what to do. (Had to call INDY) They actually registered my boat without looking at ANY documentation except for a Hull ID number I gave them off of a piece of paperwork. They kindly collected their $500.00 and gave me the orange stickers with a Registration number. Didn't ask anything about sales tax. Now I'm legally Coast Guard Docuemented as well as registered in Indiana.
