[QUOTE=MikeyFIN;2763695]The Traditional Americans ainīt certainly WHITE.
Thats a FACT. Not the Traditional Canucks either. But Finns are. [quote] Skewing the facts to serve your purposes of bashing Americans and calling them stupid isnt going to make you too many friends on this board. Maybe we can go with my original plan and send Mayflower #2 over to Finland with all the brothas and habib and wing wang wong and they can shack up with you and maybe you can intruduce your sister to Leroy? Sounds like your a racist or a realist... But yes plese do...we have a place for them... LapLand is wide open for them :D Believe me we have those same problems already and therefore we are strict. We take care of our own first. Not Vice Versa like some Non_Mentioned Superpower where the Not Traditional where left on their own after a Hurricane And even Finland had to send accommodations there... Ps Have you looked up on Australian immigration Laws ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundin...e_United_State |

Ironic that you are typing that on a computer with technology developed in the US but manufactured outside of the US. What makes you an expert on what defines the USA? Ironic is that you prolly have a Nokia... |
nope, its a motorola.
i'm done with this discussion. You make accusations but do not back any of them up. I'll have more interesting conversation talking about this with my six year old. |

Russian women are HOT. Especially the strippers. Whoever said they arent obviously didint have a very good tour guide. You arent supposed to ask the old lady wearing the baboushka making the cabbage rolls for a lap dance and then complain that she smells like garlic and vodka. And there was a hottie there, but there's quite a few pigs in Russia as well. And Helsinki is a shathole of a town, couldn't get back on the cruise ship fast enough. |

What 'defines' Finland aside from mouthy hockey players with funny names? (at least thats all I know or care to know) What defines Finland...hmmm maybe this. Flying Finns |

You coulda taken a ferry from my town..100 miles west and I reckon you were going to sweden..well the night ferry leaves at 18.00 and the other in my town at 20.30 ...I can catch that even with a Big rig easily and with a just a normal car Iīve done the stretch in 53 minutes. Or If youīd known my number I coulda prolly managed to get you a Powerboat with crew that could take the trip too fast enough. Howabout that? |

Holy fuc#ing thread hijack Batman. This idiot is comitting an e-jihad against the U.S. and he's ruined what could be a great thread for those of us that are in the TS TG market.
Back on topic. I've seen one or two nice TS TG's around 125K. 525's and xr's I believe. My dream is for a 700 or so boat with 6's. My banker keeps changing the subject whenever I bring up the terms he wants on a used boat. I think I saw him roll his eyes today. :angry-smiley-038: |

Not that in any way I say a Sonic is a Top Gun but there is a nice 358 at the National repo yard for 65k and some other nice Sport boats out there for great prices. The banks in any other time would be putting the prices at blue book but now they just want whats owed on the loan and after a while anything they can get, they need the room for more. Peolpe are broke and need out you also see some out there that are way above what they are worth due to them being way upside down. The deals will be made on repo boats if you got the cash or credit you will be able save 75% over what it would have cost 2 years ago.

BUT WAIT frivilous, gas guzzling powerboats run by single and/or mid life crisis males... that market is doing well...... they have to be off too... wake up and smell the recession.... even for those who want... cant get loans... there r very few buyers right now |
We have people with 725 credit scores getting turned down for loans under 10k all the time, if your dept ratio is over about 30 % they are turning people down. Lot's of kids not getting dirt bikes and four wheelers for Xmas. We are about 60 units off last Dec. and it's not over.

Dumping it off for what you owe to save your credit and put food on the table does not make it worthless it makes it a good deal for someone that has the money.
3 years ago I bought a 3k psi washer off a crack head for $500,bad for him good for me. Just because I got it for 500 didn't make it junk. |

Yes it's bad but it's how it is, and I plan to get a great deal on my next boat. At first I feel bad but then I go back to when I was trying to trade my boat a few years ago and they would offer me 25% of Blue Book. $60k for a 275K dollar boat on trade. F them.

I understand this and it is very unfortunate that some have to do this, but unfortunate situations like that shouldn't dictate the market value for everything else out there. Half the people shopping for boats on here are only trying to steal everything and extremely low balling everyone. Not everyone or dealer with a boat for sale has to dump it for tens of thousands below what the boat should be selling for just because some have to fire sale them.
so a boat worth 150k a year ago is worth 145k today? |
My take is there are enough nice boats available in every trim level that a great deal can be found with enough due diligence. Sellers aren’t going to move boats unless they realize how bleak the market conditions truly are and accept the best real offer they can get or continue to sit on their heavily depreciating toy.
|
yes if the boat would have sold for X last spring.... it is worth 20% less at least real money offer

The lack of banks willing to be in recreational lending and a lack of a competitive insurance market makes it a hold! If you can’t afford to services your debt on your boat then you probably shouldn't be in it in the first place. Sorry to be the a-hole here but that is why this country is so f'd-up right now. |
The problem is that it's not what it's worth it's how much the bank needs for it or how much the owner needs to get out of it. Then the others are forced to lower your price or keep it.
The only other thing you could do is buy every boat like yours and keep them till the market comes back, good luck with that. But after Obama spreads the wealth we will all be fine. |
This is why I say "never borrow money for toys ".

I do more of don't borrow for a toy you cant write off on your taxes. and even rich people borrow for 500k and higher toys, they make more with the cash than they loose on the toy, if they do it right. |

I agree that people shouldn't borrow money beyond what they can afford in order to buy toys, but I'll tell you this - I am not going to spend cash on a boat (not that I could), when my equity line is at 3.75%, and 1/3rd of that is tax deductible. But in the end it is everyones choice. Some don't feel comfortable being leveraged, and some do. In my case - I evidently love it....... |
