minus any bottom work, was the outerlimits kilo boat out of the mold stock ?

what angle of attack do you think the keel of the new and old fountain kilo boat was running, 3-4 degrees ?
the o/l was joes race/pleasure boat for a few years before the kilo run, and obviously before joes official involvement in the company. Looks to have the same dimensions as most other sv43’s

Brian used to work for fountain and yes was a study of Reggie. The idea he quit learning and moving forward when he left fountain to go on his own is crazy. Brian is talented at what he does and I'm sure he learns things during every project.
Because Brian worked for fountain, left and then worked on a OL doesn't mean he made the boat a fountain bottom, in fact it' nothing like a fountain bottom.
Brian helped the OL team tune in the boat like he would like it since he was driving it.

would mean if a Ford engineer left for Chevrolet that a Chev is really a Ford?
if a hp printer employee leaves and goes to any other brand are they now the same as a hp printer?

The kilo boat was built originally as any other production boat would be, then they decided to make some changes to the bottom to go that fast. Otherwise same dimension boat as any other Sv 43 built.

You have completely missed humor in my post, please drink more and reread... that is all.

not that boat. It had cockpit a/c and 5 person pleasure cockpit but no cabin. The monster sl 52 has all that and went 150. I think Whipple 43 had a cabin and touched the 160’s

factory billet I believe has all the amenities and did 160mph at 6500rpm and has the potential to go 7000+ rpm's,just saying.plus its stable at those speeds.

Bottom line is- Fountain came up short, can’t win all the time. I’d still say over the last few decades Fountain wins a lot of the time. OL had a great performance 4 years ago and got it done. We can all go back to 2004 and know who got it done then. Anytime this record is attempted it is a great effort. So Fountain came up a tad short. Guess we can now look forward to the racing season.
