The 30 Vice is a fantastic boat. We have a client with one that runs well over 100. That with 520s OR twin 450R would be a 85-90mph boat. Not Velocity or OL fast but thats not Cig's market. It would be a great addition to their lineup as an entry level Cig

Was unaware they were in that market still!! Exactly what I'm saying! I think people in that size market would spend a little more for a cig over a velocity...at least I would as long as it was a sensible amount...like 600k for a 29 ft boat would not be sensible but who knows maybe that's what a new one would cost nowadays?? Not up on new boat pricing lol

For what it's worth, that's not true.

Cigarette stopped production of the 30's because the margins weren't there. But that was 20 years ago. I think today, in this market, it would be a VERY compelling product. I think it would be great for buyers and for cigarette!
And use that hull as a platform. 30 Vice w/ 520's. 30 Vice w/ 450s. Hell, make a 30 ft CC with the same hull!

So that begs the question...is it better to buy a 2004 with a bad motor for say 50 if it's nice then convert it to outboards which will likely cost 50k or better to have it done then 80k in motors and you're at 180k for a 20 year old boat that's essentially the same really. Add interior, stereo, controls, and gauges and you're probably another 50k so now you're at 230....so what are you getting for an additional 100k? The ability to finance it if you don't have the cash to perform a rebuild as listed above and a possibly "better/more efficient" hull? Doesn't seem right to me at all....if that boat was listed at say 230 which I believe it honestly could and should be they would probably sell the sh!t out of them! That being said...if that was the case and the cig version was at the 300k mark I could kind of see that as like anything else you are buying a name and allegedly a better boat. But that priced where it is a cig version would no doubt be 450-500k and nobody in their right mind would pay that IMO.....
So yeah...moral of the rambling....everything is too damn expensive and I think the price gouging and the "elites" paying the ridiculous prices has led to where we are in the industry honestly.
I have no idea but what did a new 38 TS gun cost in say 03-04 and what would it cost now for the same exact boat?? I bet it makes the obsurd inflation numbers look small.....

What's sickening is that there is 80k of that in motors so you're paying 250-260 for a 29 ft boat that honestly hasn't changed too awful much in what 10+ years? I mean of course controls and everything are updated but I think that hull is basically the same as an early 2000's? I don't think Magnum has produced a boat since that 27 sit down with a 565 and that was a one off.

When I think Magnum I think 40-50-60 ft with big surface drives and diesels, the newest listed on yachtworld was a 2013 that was for sale for years in Michigan then brought to Florida and its for sale again. Nobody wants open day boats, lack of shade is a big negative for most people today. Looking at the google street view of their Miami factory it seems maybe some refurbishments going on but it doesn't look like an active boat manufacturing facility.
