That's nice. She's going to be a runner. When is it getting wet?

Not gonna be big enough. I can tell you that right now. With a 1.5 gear ratio and 800hp I can turn a 32p Bravo 1 to 6300-6400 rpm. You will definitely need to either change gear ratios or get a much larger prop. Test it out first for sure, but i am pretty sure you will run well over 5400rpm with ease.

Marty, what drive are you running? If it's a XR 1.36 lower gears might be the ticket....thicker too for all the torque.

Well, I took the boat out today, nice day but very windy!! You guys we're right a 32 prop is not big enough. But it doesn't seem to be far away from where I need to be, revlimiter is set at 5650. Not sure if I hit it, but I was close to it. Has anyone tried a 5 bladed prop???? Trying to prop it to 5400.

The maximus worked really well for me a 30 might be the right size for you. I also ran a Hydromotive p5+, it had too much stern lift. sounds like you are close enough to call brett @ BBlsdes and have him fine tune what you have or work a 34" the 34 B1 suck out of the box but brett does a great job with them. I have found the B1 works best for our hulls. But the labbed Maximus also worked really well for me.

I also had a P-5 on mine when i got it. I wasnt a fan of it at all. it wasnt nearly as fast and it chine walked like crazy at anything over 85mph due to the massive stern lift. It was a 29p.

What kind of speeds were you seeing? I am suprised that it was even close to working out for you, considering how low your rev limiter is. The only reason I say that is because with similar hp and a 32p bravo 1 I run through 5650rpm with ease, all the way up to 6300.

Sounds like that should work for you. You should be able to get a set of lower gears for a good price, that's all you need. Unless you want a whole new lower and sell yours or keep it for backup.
