The circulating pump will not pull water up from below the hull. Without head pressure they will not move water. If it would, then a boat with a smoked impeller in the raw water pump would still run...

Not a PQ, but I was running a Maximus on a 30 Superboat. It ran great but I think they are real tough on drives. My slip was very low. I broke my XR twice in less than 150hrs.

More HP and higher RPM I believe does not equal more vibration. (stress on parts, probably) An unbalanced engine creates vibration. No balancer can fix an unbalanced engine.
