NOW I know why Gerry wants me to come for the test! I weigh
275lbs.! Never thought I could be the deciding factor in this
experiment. I've been called alot of things in my life...but a "sand
bag". I guess a man has to do what a man has to do when he's
called upon. That's what friends are for.

Have a big breakfast preferably french toast..... 11:30 is launch time
Thanks

it was late, and thats my reason for to many posts last night. well sand bags helped. did a few runs mostly 55 to 65. but did hit 78 or 80 at about 5000 to 5200. tabs were deep though. or deeper than they should have been. I'm done for winter. looks like new gas tank up front between bolsters. IF I stay with konrad. at the right price everything is for sale so. if one of the y2k guys wants a deal, I'll sell it go to a imco and keep the tank where it is. if I remove the tank, I could also move the tranny inside with or with out the box. but would need to mod exhaust tails
. want to thank Gerry and Ken for all there help.

Disappointed we didn't get it nailed down.
Amazing the approx. 500 lbs. in the nose didn't change the running attitude immensly.
George had a great idea of taking it to a travel lift and put it on one sling and keep moving it until you see the balance point.I would call the local yards and do this before storage.
I wonder if this is going to wind up needing some hook also ??
You still need a stern lifting prop to try also.
Always great spending the day with OSO members Knot Right /Gerry,Boxer/Ernie & Mi-Lo, and meeting Oldman/George.
Great to get it rigged and up & running with Gerry's dedication and skills and an assorted crew. Glad to help out !

In my opinion, one of the runs by looked pretty darn good but like
Artie said, the trim tabs were a little too far down to get the boat
settled for that particular fly by. I do think the 480lbs helped to
make a change. I know Artie has some hard decisions to make
with respect to how far he wants to go with this project. I do
believe this problem is fixable, but with a gas tank location change, moving the motor forward, putting the tranny inside the
transom, getting rid of the box and redoing the headers....that's
what it's probably going to take. Got to say Artie that Gellner is
an awesome sounding powerplant. Wish you the best in your
decision! Nice meeting you Kenny. Call me guys if you need a
hand. OK.
