That's what I ment gen2 sorry typo, yeah has tube down in water. I will check some of that stuff out when I get in the boat next time.

I think the guy I bought the boat from ran castrol 40w in it. I thought maybe I was better off sticking with the same brand of oil or do u think switching to rotella now is ok and better?

I called ken and talked with him he said that the ring I got is the only ring that is now listed for the alpha 1 gen 2. He knew the ring was updated a little from the original with diffrent bushings...

Ok on the gimbal and yes the tie bar bolts in all 4 places so that was my temporary plan to find a lower nut and cut it down a bit just to prevent as much as possible. Thanks for all thr help

Its not the tie bar that's movimg and gouging the housing it is the bolts that come off the top of the drive then the tie bar sits on the drive then there are nuts holding the tie bar to the top of...
