This is just my opinion, but if I am thinking correctly the LH throttles allow you to trim the drives/tabs while running wide open with your fingers, so you can still have full control of the boat...

I have stock 22p mercs from the factory on my 2018 35' with 350s. 63-64 normal here in Michigan, 64-65 last fall down south normally. On it best day 66 light on fuel. I am only turning 6000 though....
