The plexus will be WAY stronger than the through bolts. I see the bolts as a assembly aid. If both surfaces are clean and the plex is the correct squeeze it will not come apart! Do not over squeeze...

Gosh, I should have just re attached the headliner. My 05 has never had a headliner failure. Sorry about your disgust with seeing this thread. I probably get 1 or 2 PM's a month concerning this...

We found in all 5 boats that there did not seem to be enough plex applied at the hull deck seam. Anywhere i have seen the bond, at least on my boat, on the inner liner the plex is oozing out of each...

As you can see from the seam photo there is a single bead of plex that was not compressed. The plunge cutter worked really slick to remove the old plex. The knife blade could be bent slightly to cut...

I would say that in areas the plex was oversqueezed to the point of only a thin amount was left, in some areas there was not enough applied. BUT.......this is only according to the info I have read...
