All in all it was a great run and we were able to beat the rain for the majority of the day. The Clear Lake bunch realy knows how to put on a good time. It started out gloomie headed out of Kemah with lightning and thunder around us but when we got out and headed to Baytown it was fine. I had to hail the Coast Guard for a REAL emergency call instead of just a radio check, which was scary. Then we tied up at the Baracuda beach club and got stamped. Then it was off to Galveston to a new development on the water called Laguna Harbor. On the way to Galveston we got some heli shots. Jobe was freakin out about that...."Damn Creeder, I could have grabbed the heli skid!" But it WAS cool. After that stop we ran over to the Topwater Grill which was damn near imposible to tie up at because of the wind. El Capitan Creedo tied up with no issue, we got our last stamp, and then it was back to Endeavor. At Endeavor the girls went and showered up and Creedo, Jobe, and I proceeded to get $hitty on the dock by the boats. Spick 1 cruised by with his pops and shot the **** for awhile and took off. We then decided to give up on the beers and get cleaned up for the party where we consumed many more beers.

Nice job WStultz & SPF100:) Did you have problems with boatman22 trying too touch you in uncomfortable places? I am really starting to wonder about that guy:)
|
Did Jamie Russel take the pics? Who the fu(k won??
|
I don't know who won, we left after we got squeezed out of third. The winner had three aces, second had three 10's, and third had three 4's. We had two aces. All I remember was second was Cynbad.

Compared to appromiately the same cost as an older powerboat to buy it.
Paying storage all ready, avgas is allmost the same price as premium. I allready spend 5k a month on maintenance. Don't see the problem. When do you want to go shopping? I have an instructor all ready lined up. |

go rent a plane and pay the instructor. If you think it is for you then buy a plane after about 10 hours flighttime and rent it back to the flightschool. Your flight time is pretty much free, or close to it and someone else does the maintenance.....Just promise me, you won't do any engine work on it .. :evilb: :evilb:

Latest on the poor dude that collapsed at the Poker Run Sat: I was one of those first on the scene at the dock. Latest info is that he was stabilized at the hospital but is still in a coma. It was not a heart attack - he had "pulmonary emboli" where the blood vessels leading to the lungs got suddenly blocked. MANY THANKS to all who helped out, especially those who jumped in the boat and began CPR and drove the boat to the dock. The paramedics told me today that if it was not for the rapid response of those whio got to him right away he would not have the chance he does now. They will do an MRI today or tomorrow to look at his brain. Very, very, sad. He is a good dude according to those that know him. He has been married 20 years and his daughter just got a scholarship to college.
