Well good luck with it. According to the last comment by Txlefty, that engine we built last night will probably only make it to the bridge and then it will probably be better if you leave it at Chris's shop at 105 storage, I mean Txlefty's engine and drive shop, so it can be fixed properly by a mechanic who knows what he is talking about.

He is pretty much refering to my skills (or lack of knowlege of how to do anything) in fixing things. It's a good thing he is a high roller and can afford to send his stuff to the best mechaincs in town so he doesn't ever have to wrench on his chit.

He was. Which sucks, because I think they were pretty much even - even for actuall days spent running on the lake or rafted up this season.

jeff1000man 09-24-2007 11:00 AM

You know you planned your casino trip/ bachelor party for the same weekend that everyone is going to Vegas I think. Doesn't that kind of cut down on the guest list?

Oh, and I think we seriously need to consider leaving a day early or staying an extra day, because that long trip and then coming home the next day all hung over and putting on the trailer etc. is really gonna suck.

They are going the weekend of the 19th, if i was a home builder or an insurance guy I could take more time off.....

Oh, obviously I had my dates wrong. They probably told me the 13th so I would go on a different weekend.

It's your bachelor party, If you can't take off an extra day for that, what will ever be a better excuse?

There are only few days that are a good excuse.

Funerals, Births, weddings and bachelor parties. THose off days add up to less than 2 weeks in a lifetime. Think about it.

They will give me the time off, when I miss work I miss out on $$$$$$ plus I will be off for 10 days in November

tomtbone1993 09-24-2007 11:24 AM

What plans do need to be made are:

Where we leaving from?

Where are we leaving trucks and trailers? "i don't want my chit stolen"

Maybe spend Friday night in Clear Lake?

It's probably insured for more than it's worth anyway. I alway wonder why people worry about that.

Staying friday night in CLear Lake is not a bad Idea as long as it's somewhere that we can launch friday night and keep the boats in the water and leave out Sat Morning. That way we can get all of the BS out of the way friday night.

wstultz 09-24-2007 11:56 AM

If we leave from the Galveston yacht basin it cuts 1 hour off of travel time in the boat.

I'm up for staying at either place. The friday night deal sounds good though as long as we launch friday night. Isn't the yact Basin more secure? It's probably more convenient overall.

Joew is sitting in my office and he said he talked to Louie and he didn't know anything about it but would probanly like to go also.

I'll think about it and have to check the weather pretty hard to make that decision.I guess it can't be any worse than conroe.Atleast the waves would be spread out.

I talked to Louie on Saturday, he was hammered, but he said was going. In fact, he called l'auberge from Papas. He was trying to get everyone tickets to Willie Nelson. He seems to think he could get about 4 rooms comped.

Count Shake N Bake out. He has a football game or some concert to go to. He is e-mailing me all of the gps coordinates. He said the coordinates he has can either take you out of clear lake or Galveston. From Clear Lake he said it was only 12 or so more miles to run straight across to Stingaree's. He also said he made it to Laberge on only a half tank of gas. 128 miles
