can't you just say sewage hit all the walls in your house, won't they call it ruined and give you enough to just about rebuild your whole house.... at least a good remodel???

you fixed the leak, but you never fixed the damage FROM the leak, so your wood and wall rotted. That stuff doesn't just dry up and go away. You should have made a claim for it back then. Answer. Probably not, unless you have an HO- B policy which covers lack of maintenance. Pretty rare policy, but some of them are still out there.

Apparently you didn't read the post where I said that the mortgage company decided to not pay the premium so I don't have coverage for that.

I am fighting that battle right now.

wall was rotted and roof leaked in garage prior to purchasing, new roof was included in purchase, but wall was left, header has started to sag, and studs in wall are no longer solid

Is he handling your pack out and storage? If you want to make up your deductible on them, Build an invoice that charges by the hour to clean all of your junk and per box to pack it all up and store it for the time that he is working and do it yourself. Have Joew sell you some boxes. Put the stuff at your boat storage and charge them the rack rate for the building.

It will be thousands of dollars when you are done adding ti all up

You probably all ready knew that trick though.

Only covered in HO- B policy.

It might be covered under your current policy if you still had the leak, but the evedence that it was a leak was hidden from you until recently when you accidentally ran across it.

Not likely though.

How are the waters and businesses of Lake Conroe? Is there a lot of floating debris? Did all of the restaurants survive? Looks like that may be our choice for boating for a while. The Turtle looks like it survived, but I haven't heard how much damage.

No, I didn't, at least not so clearly. Thanks for that.

And those pics of Clear Lake Marine Center are very sad. We had our boat there for 2 yrs. and knew a lot of those guys before we decided to come up to Conroe. I recognize 3/4 of the boats. We moved our Fountain out permanently and ended the lease there just last June.

The only go-fast still in its sling that didn't look like it got touched was an old Scarab 38 KV. Also, there was a sweet Cigarette Bullet that had little damage and was still on the slings, although one outdrive was holding up the stern. Very Sad.....I had nightmares.

Anyone gonna be on the water this weekend?

I should be out on the water by late morning. Just about done with break in hours on the new boat and ready to "stretch the legs" a little  Probably end up over by dam... what's the protocol/rules/details for non-Baja boats at the bash?

Don't hit any phantom docks or other random crap.

kfvintx 09-23-2008 06:58 PM

I was out both days this past weekend and didn't see too much debris.

I'll let the Baja's run around for a little while and find all the underwater treasures :evilb:

The lake is open for all. Anybody can come play as a spectator. The more the better. See everyone at the Big Azz Raftup on Saturday @ 1 p.m.

I think Boatman22 is supposed to do a sweep of the lake in the a.m. to clear any debris that he happens upon.

Just walked into the door, but they are at EZ Pawn on 105. For $.50 they will give them back to you. I am using the Hybrid Wstultz. Instead of hauling it to Lakeview, I am pawning the stuff for back rent.

Is it fair if you actually borrowed the stuff though.

The law in TX, as in most states is that if it comes onto your property, it becomes your problem. The exception is boats and cars IF they are being operated. If the car gets thrown into your house by the tornado, again it is your problem. If the boat slams into your dock because it came loose from the dock, it is your problem.

If the boat runs over your dock because the driver fell overboard drunk, it is his problem.
