sewar backed up through the showers and toilets and got under my wood floors and into the walls pretty bad. Floor is ruined 2/3 of the way through the house and the walls will have to be cut up on 2-3 of the rooms for cleaning.
I'll get around to it eventually. ABout a 15K job IF I don't have to take out the shower. I am having the plumber come put in a secret weapon in my main drain so that if those azzhole neighbors pull that chit again they are going to get a surprise.:hitfan: |

Sorry to hear about your house. Ours took a 100' pine on the upstairs master and I need a crane to get it off. Now the doors and windows don't operate properly and probably have a frame shift...I sure hope State Farm is really "like a good neighbor"...we'll see I guess
They actually do pay pretty good, but if you really do have structural damage, you better hope they don't give you somebody fresh off the boat, because he will go out there and pay your tree bill and replace the roof and go down the road and then you'll have to wait for the supplement process. Good luck. |

All 6 trees downed by Ike now out of my yard, drive and off the house. Now I need a new yard and house repair. Big hole in the roof with leakage and sheetrock coming down. And oh, the smell...
The tree guy was fantastic using a crane and climbers and no collateral damage. No add'l ruts in the yard. I highly recommend him over some of the others I have seen. |

So did the BAJA bash still happen today? I wouldn't think a bunch of BAJA guys would be scared away by a little ole hurricane?
|
|
I thought the Baja bash was next weekend? I know they weren't out today. There wasn't hardly anyone out today. I saw one Fountain at Inland launching at the same time. Nice day overall due to so little traffic on the lake. Should be out there tomorrow as well. We'll be in the black/orange Formula 292... say Hi if you see us.

Whose responsibility is it to remove sunken boats and docks? I had two sections of a dock sink slowly out of sight about 100 yards off my property and probably the only way to find them again is to hit them with your boat propeller or estimate location from the pictures we took. |
Not sure about removal but there's a partially sunk houseboat kinda over by the island as well. It sticks up out of the water so it's easy to see.
For those of us that prefer not to find your dock with our props, can you tell us (for those that don't already know) where your house is so we know to stay clear :drink: |

My dock is absolutely unscathed, it was just built. So is the 23' Sea Ray that sat on the lift the whole storm. The dock that broke apart had held a pontoon boat that also sunk, just south of Walden marina inlet. Whose got a heavy duty workboat, perhaps a houthboat, Andy? Lets go get those pieces of debris before sombody gets hurt. They are 15-25 foot sections that are sunk at an angle in 15-20 ft. of water. |

My homeowners is paid up. |
hey when I bought my house I had a water leak from the roof, I replaced the roof and fixed the leak but as a result of the leak the header on the garage door is sagging, and the wall to the side of the garage door is rotted/rotting, if I make a claim will homeowners ins cover that?
