What is your Top end # K-R in the Skater with the fresh 703's?
156 and still pulling . with 1.35 ratio in sixes.
Bill Tomlinson if i recall told me few years back that it ran 160,s when he first rigged it back in 2000.
the old tub weighs in close to 13200 lbs with raise deck and full cabin.
The engines have been great reliable motors for me.
We shall see how she performs with the new setup.
Lots of knowledgeable people to say the least have helped me on setup.

A FAA certified Turbine im pretty sure is in the neighborhood of 500 hours for first oil change.
if you Google TBO for huey uh1 helicopters it will give you information.
The Engines that are in these boats are not FAA certs.

Don't want to hijack knot-rights thread but just to answer a few questions.
The boat runs T53-703s and they were the engines used in the record attempt as far as I am aware there around 1850-1900hp @ 100% but not sure what they are rated at 110%.
The boats going back to the Cape Coral area when were generally over there for the winter, Chris your more than welcome to come and have a look once we get the boat back over to the US.

Knot-Right I think my BPM drop boxes could be 1-1 and I know the SCS crash boxes are 1-1 so that would give a prop speed in excess of 6000rpm.
Not 100% sure on the BPMs but I can check tomorrow.
What size props were you thinking of running on your boat?

Fuel consumption based on performance rating Knot-Right correct me if I have this wrong.

T53-703
Idel 22GPH each engine
75% = 1125hp 102GPH each engine
100% = 1800hp 144GPH each engine

3 x 400R = 1200hp will burn 105GPH
1 x Mecury 1305hp I think they consume around 120 GPH if not more.

But we are burning kerosene or off-road diesel at a lower cost than 91 octane gas.
Not that you buy a turbine boat and worry about fuel consumption but I thought this would be a good comparison.
