Bought the 47 Nortech Supercat that was sitting at Nortech for 10 years it was used for one European speed record in Norway and achieved 193 mph with still some left and reportedly capable of 200+ then shipped back and put into storage.
It's done no hours and the boats like a time capsule it's like it just came from the factory as new.
Going to do some basic inspections oil changes compressor wash etc and generally go through the boat I am looking to do a fully digital dash and move away from the Racepak gauges in favor of an NMEA2000 flat screen with 360 degrees birdseye view for docking etc.

That's the one! A beautiful piece of engineering detail is phenomenal.
Been following your thread from the beginning never thought I would be lucky enough to own such a boat but sometimes things just work out.
Keep up the good work your knowledge on these turbines is outstanding.

Interesting read!!
What's the amount of hours you typically get out of a turbine before it needs a rebuild?
Also it looks like those engines are extremely thirsty at idle? I always wondered why there aren't more turbines used. Is one reason fuel burn?

And the million dollar question is why? Why was it run for 1 record attempt then stored. Dont get me wrong I dont have the funds to even make decisions like that but man what a waste. Great to hear someone bought it and plans to use it.
