I was asked about mold movement the the mold strongback system, the reply,Never had a problem with expansion/contraction due to temperature ,That shop in the MiddleEast the lamination area was Kept cooled with AC , Now in Florida we are comfortable enough to go with the outside ambient and no problem .

I do the molds both ways no problems so far, Just do care has to be given to bonding the supporting structure and a lot of my Tooling is cored as well, the 38/11.5 M Hull Mold I did at Powerplay was Cored and then 8" strips of 1" core were laid in adhesive under the piping which was in turn glassed to these only and not the Mold Shell.

Did a 46'/14.2 M Cat mold with Wood strong backing nice stiff piece. the 43'/13.1 M in the picture was balanced so one person could turn it and we gelcoat that one upside down in fact it is easer for me to spray that way , couple lights is all that is needed.

Production tooling Steel would be desirable here in our market. and Thank you for visiting this thread.

The strakes in post #87 are laid on with the Keel line, now as the deadrise increases and the boat narrows at the bow it gives that exact appearance, the first 8 feet of these boats changes about a degree per foot of run in deadrise. I will show other boats with similar strakes to the T-4.

Now here is the cad when I looked at this, it (Bottom)was in with the Aronow mentality of a 1/3 of the length constant running surface then head on up to the Bow and the "U" shaped strakes which I made lined back up to the water flow..

Back to the 10 Meter here is the transom going a Cheetahcat fishing boat, could not find any 19 MM Plywood that I could trust but there was a lot of nice 4.5 MM to be had, so we clamped about a zillion pieces of that in the boat with these Pneumatic clamps designed for this mold it went real fast with a simple Manifold and regulator took all the fun out of it. Inner liners are on the floor which include the Tunnel stringers. Mr Iraqi is looking on he was my night watchman as well .

the MiddleEast ,Ashland was hooked up with the Saudies (SIR) Saudi industrial resins and Reichold of course ,My shop in Kuwait there was a guy 2 blocks away with a 12 drum reactor and I got a nice Vinylester from him he used a Chinese Epoxy as it's backbone so to say.

During Iraqi occupation they dismantled the only resin plant there at the time and took it with every every screw back to Iraq, was a neat deal in those days very modern and they had 500 gallon Stainless Tanks they put out to the companies, they use a lot of resin there.

The Shell Epoxy I have used it here before on a panel Job I did and some parts at Jaguar, nice stuff there was a company down here in those days GLS Who stocked it

We did this in 91 for Danny it was National Champion and Gold coast Champion, Airex cored, bagged Kevlar/Glass S-Glass and carbon fiber. 1875 Pounds Hull and deck ,Beat Reggie with it! I did another one C class for outboards @ 1750 pounds.

That boat was out of the old Cobra hull mold also.

Until there was a mold built for the race deck we spliced a part from Original Cobra Mold back half to the PP deck and used hatches from the original cobra molds with a lot of work to bring them acceptable ,the B1 had this combo for the staggered motors.
