Local Sheriffs probably wanted to be associated with something cool.

Then again……even boats deserve their 15 minutes of fame.

Getting starboard motor cleaned up and ready to go back in. We were running -6 AN hardware whereas -8 is the minimum spec on these BAM transmissions. So I’’ve upgraded to -10 now. Also my coolers were below spec. They’re also upgraded to larger units. Also we are adding shift linkage kits to be sure the shifters and the transmissions are synced up. All the hardware came in yesterday. Going to try to be back in the water this weekend.

I got the linkages from Marc at BAM. Apparently my arm was being over traveled when shifted into forward (arm was going past the detent). I was referring to syncing up when the helm shifter stick is bottomed out forward, to the transmission arm being in the forward detent.

Just amazing how nice that boat is, you gotta be very proud.

If there’s anything cooler than a rooster tail, I’d like to see it.

Heath, do the trannys just fit into the extension boxes through the transom while attached to the engine? I thought they used the Bravo inner transom mount?

I need to move my engines aft on the Cobalt. So likely going to fab up extension boxes for the Arnesons.

Have you got any photos of the inner mounting system?

How thick is the aluminum on your extension boxes?

Engines are looking great.
