I've made up templates/plywood drill fixtures for the Arneson ASD7 drives. They attach to the outside of the boat and make for an easy drill & cut. I can loan them out if needed.

Appreciate that Dan. I’ll likely have to go with the non offshore style. Thanks Bill for going above and beyond on the templates. I look forward to using them.

I’ve been doing a lot of grinding under the cockpit getting ready to glass the stringers in place, also pulled the engines out of the 30 footer. I’ll also be using the tabs off the 30 also.

If we're looking at the same thing, I think that "surface rust" is paint. Same color used on a few parts of the boat. The name on the transom, I think the windshield frame maybe......? I thought the trailer was that color too but doesn't look like it in the pic.

Yes it’s a burnt orange (forgot the code) from about a 2004 Nissan 350z. The windshield frame, trailer, engine, and some hardware and some of the vinyl is that color. It’s gonna have to be repainted now of course.

I haven’t been able to get diddly squat done this week. Finally was able to use Bills template for the arnesons. Worked perfectly thanks a lot. I’ll be able to hang the transmissions and the motors in place to find exactly where to put my engine mounts in the stringers...
