My buddies Wellcraft Nova had this issue years ago, bravo equipped 454, it was the rubber coupler on the flywheel flexplate, pull the drive and see of the noise stays.

You can definitely run silent choice on a TRS, look at the inner transom plate and you can see the tri-lobe block off plates on port and starboard.
i know for sure as i had to install silent choice...

I would check the bolt circle on the hub and the aluminum rim...... to make sure they match
if the 1/2" studs are not dead center in the 5/8th holes in the rim that could be your problem

Would not hurt to check downstream for possible obstruction
