The stainless headers seem to knock the edge off and no loss in performance. My engines are close to yours. I ran gab until they fell apart. I bought the 8 in long. Still noisy,but ok

Have you looked at Remflex gaskets. Much thicker and compresses. They won’t burn either. Fixed a lot of poor fitting exhaust problems

This is just my experience with Lunati/Morel. Dynoed first engine and inspecting afterwards had 4 collapsed lifters. Put johnsons in it and have 80+ trouble free hours. Lunati couldn"t have cared...
