Hey Tbone ya ll should consider having a poker run open to the public. It seems like every poker run on CL is a topps event. Just a thought for us poor souls that don't have a boat large enough to join your club.:D

We will have a poker run just for you and the rest of the bass boats this weekend. It will include the "stump dodge", "bridge pile slalom course", "single engine highest decible", and "biggest air caught from a 2' wave".

Actually I like the 15% PAY OUT TO FIRST BREAK DOWN. i CAN DEFINATLEY MAKE THAT HAPPEN.

Get everybody together. We have a stop at pappa's. Just get sombody there to hand out chips. We stop a bella vida. George can make the secretary hand out slips of notebooks paper again. We can stop at Timmies house. We can stop at april sound at toms crib and then last stop at my house.

$200 buy in. Pay out 65%, 20% and 15%. Best 3 hands play hold em with 2500 chip stack until all 3 places are filled.

Islander and current obsesion will qualify as powerboats for the purposes of this run. Dirty connection will qualify for a hand if joew volunteers to pull him to the stops.

Any other suggestions

Still planning but this is what would work pretty well

1st stop -Meet at pappas 10:30 am sunday have quick meeting. pick up chips so we dont have to go back

2nd stop Bella vida
3rd stop tbones
4th stop - walden - in front of leftys - or we can use my dad's dock to make it a longer run, we would have to actually go under the bridge, it is safe where we would be going
5th stop - my house

Try and finish the run and get docked up before 1 pm so that lake doesn't get to crowded and we will by safe from johnny law.

Pay out structure will be as follows.

10% to the house for food up to $300. I will cover the overage if pot won't cover $300. We can put remaining money back into the pot, or use it for beer and more food later in the day.

Remaining money pays out

60% - first place
30% - second
10% - thrid

Top three hands will play no limit hold em with 2500 starting stacks to determine the final pay out.

Game starts after dinner at approx 6.

Open to all boats that can make the trip in the alloted time frame.

If you start, you must finish. No picking up cards for broken down boats. You may designate someone to get your cards before you leave, but if the boat starts the run it must finish to qualify. Unlimited hands per boat. Only registered boats can hold hands. Passengers can own hands, they split 30% to boat captain.

The fact that this is short notice will keep the guest list down and I am not sure that is a bad thing. Us regulars will be there and a few newbies. This is the first time in 460 pages of chit I have ever heard a good idea from any of you clowns...Count the Islander in! I will be taking off a Sunday and Monday to enjoy the festivities.. Should we try to get as many friends with boats as possible or keep the run to the oso group????

I beleive discression is the word to use regarding the guest list.

One of the good things about the TOPPS run is the closed guest list for the after party. I will not pull a saddahm on uninvited's, but I shouldn't have to.

I would love to see as many boats as possible, but I don't need the house trashed.

I have talked to several people over the phone and $200 has not been rejected yet.

THat is another reason to use discresion on your guest lists.
