Keep it simple.....Get a bucket cut a hole in the top and place 1 deck of cards in there with no jokers. Cover up the hole, so players can not see the cards they are drawing. Top 3 hands when I would also do $50.00 a hand vs. $200.00 it increases everybody odds of winning. Anybody can buy hands. You can still have a good size pot. This is they way Lake Travis does it... It is very fun and simple. Before you give me a smart azz comment back....like " This is not Lake Travis" and so on.......It works it is proven.... OK How about this?
All hands must be bought at Papas meeting. You will get a receipt for idividual hands at the meeting when you buy in. After the run, you turn in your receipts for your hands. Hands will be pulled from the bucket as Tom suggests. 1 deck only If we pull 7, I say no wild cards. If we pull 5, I say leave the jokers in to make it interesting. I don't think we should have re-pulls for ponying up more money because - for example. If I had enough money in my pocket, I could draw all night until I won. If you pull enough cards your win would be guaranteed. Still pay out the top 3 as earlier. No Hold- Em even though I think that would be cool. No extra cards. |

You have to make the decision and pay before you walk away from the table. If you don't bring your re- pull money, you don't get to go to the car and get it. It would give the high hands the opportunity to decide if they need to pull another hand or not. |
We have enough hands promised to have a 4400 gross pot.
That would take 88 hands at 50 per. I am not seeing that many potential hands RSVPing yet. Still have to think about the buy in. |

But selling hands for $50 makes dam good sense, you might even sell 2 or 3 times as many hands :rolleyes: and have that much more BS to deal with but think of all the extra money???? Maybe it will even be cheap enough for girls to participate.
