have you talked to Blackwood on what you are looking for?

There is a nice White one on the side of I-10 before you get to 610 East. It had what appeared to be a Freightliner tractor.

check out this rig.....http://www.commercialtrucktrader.com...ESTAR-94363580

no, i was looking for something older like this, with real long wheel base, like a bobtail box truck and pull off sleeper and put my own conversion back on and bumper tow whatever i am gonna pull. need it to double as a motor home and would like enough room in the back for a jeep or a mini. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting

And none of these will ever be cheaper than your truck. Oil changes and brakes alone added to the 3-4mpg alone will kill you not counting clutches, air filters, DOT inspections that you still have to have for private use. These things get bought because someone wants another toy. Oh, and keep you eye out for a nascar trailer. Someone I know is looking for one. |

my neighbor has a 28 foot long international, has mercedes motor, automatic, sleeps 8, kitchen, tv's, everything loaded loaded.... can pull 10k lbs legally and get 19.8 miles to gallon when it is empty running 60 mph!!!

A friggin freightliner delivery truck with a 4cyl mercedes diesel doesn't even get that good. And they weigh next to nothing when they are empty. There is a piece of the story missing somewhere. |
this is on ebay, like what i want minus the trailer

If it really gets that mileage, then it is not pulling it very fast.

Put the 400 cat in it and it will pull a dump truck and every possible thing you want in it at the same time, but it gets 5. Same reason that international pickup truck is a POS except fo the fact that it looks cool. No power in it. That was my only point. I think it is a good idea, but there is no way that it is a price justification over your ford. No possible way to do the math. I have done this for work purposes also, when I used to travel a lot and wanted an RV to work out of. You just have to admit to yourself that you just want it so you can be the big balla. What's for dinnier, Anyone hungry. I am starved. |

If the Hauler has good brakes and does not need rubber you could get a full return in a few months.
It's an awesome deal though if it is work ready. |

What about the insurance, DOT inspection, and all the other epensive things that it doesn't list having been done to it recently.
It's an awesome deal though if it is work ready. That rig could bring in around 10K a week with a good two man crew. |
