A trick I was shown was to put the loop through...

A trick I was shown was to put the loop through the back of the cleat so the line goes over the top of the cleat, keeping it off the paint. Works in some situations.

Can confirm. I've loved boating as far back as I can remember, but Miami Vice absolutely got me hooked on performance boats. That and my dad getting us a ride on a Cafe Racer when I was 8 or 9....

Negative here. Had bicep surgery in April which set everything back. I pulled the boat out , uncovered and cleaned it a few days ago but haven't splashed it yet. Hopefully next week.
