What spick is trying to say is the change of state from liquid to vapour at constant temperature also requires the input of energy, called the latent heat of vaporization. This implies that while a liquid undergoes a change to the vapour state at the normal boiling point, the temperature of the liquid will not rise beyond the temperature of the boiling point.
The latent heat of evaporation is the energy required to overcome the molecular forces of attraction between the particles of a liquid, and bring them to the vapour state, where such attractions are minimal. The definition of the specific latent heat of vaporization is 'The specific latent heat of vaporization is the amount of heat required to convert unit mass of a liquid into the vapour without a change in temperature." I hope this clears up any confusion.... At no time did any of these ramblings make any sense whatsoever. We are all now dumber for having read it. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul. :greenchainsaw: :greenchainsaw: :greenchainsaw: |

Back from 10 days in California - What a great place. Drove from SF to LA . Saw Bob Teague for about 3 hrs. and asked lots of questions, while he was working on his 40 Skater for the World's in Key West. Saw them drop in one of the 1250's. Him and his son the main workers kinda like Orange County Choppers.

I know a guy, buy you need at least a 50 gallon compressor to run it. What are you painting that takes a bucket that big? If you are trying to paint around the house, I always go to Home Depot and buy an airless and then take it back when I am finished and tell them I just didn't like it, or that I thought it was a piece of chit.
