I get offered project boats all the time from customers ( I'm Ops Mngr at large Fla marina). My rule is it can only have 1 major issue ( bad motor, bad drive, interior, paint, ect), not a combination...

The later model 27's and 28's weren't as heavy as the early ones. My 1978 28' Maltese weighed in at 5075lbs , factory twin big block/ TRS package. 28's had full inner liner in cabin.

Cut minimum from both sides of kink. Next size down box tube will fit inside like a sleeve. Through bolt and take to the welder to finish the joint. Fixed many like this. Stronger than original....

Definitely a Sonic. We only built one while I worked there ( actually , the shop foreman ,Lee , built it for himself). Rigged with a PAIR of 200's . 100+ mph.

That's definitely a MSV deck on this one. I think most of the others ( Halperns) used his own deck. My 92 year old mom still has her LaTortuga Racing jackets Sonny Miller had made for the whole crew!
