Wait. When a boat is in the water and drive submerged, does the water reach the engine mounted pump? I would think the water in the drive would be lower that the impeller meaning there is suction...

What setup do you use to running 496 on the hose? I sometimes see folks running the hose into the engine compartment. I imagine you can install a hose attachment before the engine mounted water pump....
